Vietnam Buddhist Sangha’s Central Cutural Affairs Committee for the term 2022-2027 makes its debut

The Central Cultural Affairs Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS) held on April 14 a ceremony for formally announcing personnel of the VBS’s central cultural affairs committee for the term 2022-2027.

Present at the event included Most Venerable President of the VBS’s Central Executive Council cum Chairman of the VBS’s Central Clergy Affairs Committee Thích Thiện Nhơn.

Guests at the event included Vice Chairwoman of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs (GCRA) Trần Thị Minh Nga and Director of the Central Commission for Mass Mobilization’s Religious Affairs Department Trịnh Minh Đại.

During the ceremony, Senior Venerable Deputy Secretary of the central VBS Thích Thanh Tuấn formally announced the decision appointing 100 members of the VBS’s central cultural affairs committee for the term 2022-2027, with Most Venerable Thích Thọ Lạc selected as Head of the Committee.

On the occasion, the VBS’s central cultural affairs committee in collaboration with the National Historical Museum, the Institute of Monuments Conservation and the Institute for Religious Studies has organized the exhibition “Vietnamese Buddhist architecture - unity in diversity”, and a training on objectives tasks, operations of the committee in the new term, and implementation of its working plans in 2023 and the 2022-2027 tenure.
