At the year-end meeting
As reported at the reviewing meeting, the Minh Chon Caodai Church has recorded good results in religious affairs 2024.
During the year, the Executive Committee of the Church organized two training courses which also covered key contents of the Law on Belief and Religion and its guiding Decree No. 95, attended meetings on Resolution of the 7th Central Committee of the Communist Party of Việt Nam and fostering national defense knowledge, preventing social evils, being alert to peaceful evolution plots, and repaired facilities of its holy see and oratories of several Caodai parishes with the total value of over 6.2 billion VND.
Regarding to social charities, in 2024, Minh Chon Caodai Church has implemented social and charity activities with the total value of over 10 billion VND. In particular, the Church has presented 2,197 sets of Tet gifts, worth over 439 million VND and 35,485 kg of rice, worth over 600 million VND; regularly provided 69,335 kg of rice for poor households (15,000 VND per kg), worth over one billion VND; presented 3,606 sets of necessities (each 300,000 VND gift) to poor households, worth over one billion VND; donated nearly 500 million VND to 497 patients; provided free health-check and traditional medicines for 289,169 patients worth over 5.7 billion VND, and offered free meals at hospitals in provinces of Bac Lieu, Ca Mau, Kien Giang with the total value at over 620 million VND. Moreover, members of the Caodai sect have built seven rural bridges, and donated 2,812m2 of land for improving local roads with the total contributing value of 980 million VND. The Church has also presented 5,150 notebooks, 1,620 pens, 25 textbooks, and scholarships to pupils from poor families, worth 55 million VND in total.
The Minh Chon Caodai Church has received the state recognition since 1996, and currently has 49 parishes and one congregation in provinces of Ca Mau, Bac Lieu, Kien Giang and Soc Trang with over 33,200 followers, 48 oratories, one Holy See and 16 traditional clinics.
