VBS Executive Council sends congratulatory letter to Khmer fellow Buddhists on occasion of Chol Chnam Thmay festival


Most Venerable Thích Thiện Nhơn, Deputy Patriarch of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS)’s Patronage Council cum President of the VBS’s Executive Council sent on March 28 a letter to Khmer Buddhist monks and lay followers on the occasion of the Chol Chnam Thmay - the traditional New Year festival of Khmer people.

In the letter, the Most Venerable expressed hope that Khmer monks and lay Buddhists would continue promoting fine traditions and the spirit of harmony and solidarity of Khmer community for achieving even greater Buddhist achievements and together building a more prosperous and beautiful country.

The President of the VBS’s Executive Council also expressed his gratitude to the Party and State’ leaders and relating central agencies for due attention and support extended to the Khmer Theravada Buddhism, and favorable conditions for Khmer monks and lay Buddhists to serve the Dharma and the nation.
