Thuong De Caodai Church in Can Tho convenes 3rd congress


The 3rd congress of Thuong De (Almighty God) Caodai Church in Can Tho city for the 2022-2027 term took place on April 21 in Tay Thanh oratory.

New Caodai church’s representatives for 2022-2027 term makes its debut

The event saw the presence of Deputy Head of the Caodai Affairs Division under the Government Committee for Religious Affairs (GCRA) Nguyễn Thị Hương; Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee in the city Đinh Trung Trực; Chairman of the city Committee for Religious Affairs Nguyễn Thanh Kiệt; representatives from religious committees of Soc Trang, Vinh Long and Dong Thap provinces; Caodai dignitaries from other Caodai sects; and  50 delegates from four parishes of the Thuong De Caodai Church in the city.

The one-day congress elected 14 members to the Caodai Church’s Representative Committee in Can Tho for the 2022-2027 term with Mr. Hà Phú Ngạch reselected as the Committee Chairman.

As reported at the event, dignitaries and followers of the Thuong De Caodai Church have contributed over 2 billion VND for helping flood victims and poor patients, presenting rice, vegetarian meals and breads to the poor, and providing free health-check and medicines to the disadvantaged people.
