Ba Ton Catholic parish under My Tho diocese in Phu An commune of Tien Giang province’s Cai Lay district has 190 Catholic households with 890 parishioners, headed by Priest John Baptist Nguyễn Nhựt Cương.
The original worshipping church of the Catholic parish named Cao Cang Church was built in 1882 by semi-materials. Since 1975, Cao Cang Church was changed its name as Ba Ton Church.
In 2017, Ba Ton Parish got the approval from local authorities for rebuilding its new church on the area of 416 m2.
