Long Phuoc pagoda in Tien Giang inaugurates rural bridge and presents gift sets to locals

Long Phuoc pagoda located in Long Khanh commune of Tien Giang province’s Cai Lay provincial city in collaboration with the commune People’s Committee held a ceremony on January 1 for inaugurating a new rural traffic bridge in the locality.
At the event
Present at the event included Venerable Thích Minh Tài, Head of the Social Charity Board under the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha chapter in Cai Lay provincial city cum Vice Abbot of Long Phuoc pagoda, and local officials, sponsors and Buddhist followers in the locality.
As reported at the event, the new rural bridge was built of reinforced concrete with 3.3 meters wide, 23 meters long and a load of 2 tons. The construction cost of 275 million VND has been funded by Hoa Sen Logistics Joint Stock Company located in Ho Chi Minh City’s Binh Thanh District.
During the event, 80 gift sets with the total value of 20.5 million VND were handed over to people with disabilities and poor pupils in the locality.
