Hoa Hao Buddhists share experiences in construction of rural bridges in Southwest region

The Hoa Hao Buddhist Church’s Central Executive Committee held on November 15 a meeting to exchange experiences in construction of rural bridges in the in Southwest region by Hoa Hao Buddhists.

At the meeting

The event saw the presence of Chairman of the Hoa Hao Buddhist Church’s Central Executive Committee Nguyễn Tấn Đạt, and representatives from the Vietnam Bridge and Road Science Association, provincial authorities of An Giang, Dong Thap, Tien Giang and Kien Giang.

As reported at the event, Hoa Hao Buddhists in the Southwest region have established over 50 groups for building rural bridges and roads. These groups in collaboration with local authorities have repaired roads with the length of 437,608 m2, built 2,250 new bridges, with the total investment of over 821 billion VND.

During the event, participants focused exchanges on the gathering of supports from local authorities and sponsors, transparency fund raised and expenditures, enhanced quality and quantity of new bridges and expansion of bridge and roads of groups, etc.
