The representative board of the Hoa Hao Buddhist Church in Phuoc Lap commune of Tien Giang province’s Tan Phuoc district in collaboration with the Hoa Hao Buddhist Church’s committee for tenets propagation held on July 7 a opening ceremony for its 440th training course on religious tenets.

The event saw the presence of Member of the Central Executive Committee cum Deputy Head of the Buddhist Church’s committee for tenets propagation Lê Minh Công, Head of the Representative Committee of the Buddhist Church in Tien Giang province Võ Văn Thượng, representatives from the management board of Hoa Hao Buddhist Church in several communes, and nearly 70 Hoa Hao Buddhists in Phuoc Lap commune.
Local guests at the event included Vice Chairman of the provincial Committee for Religious Affairs Trần Văn Khuê and Vice Chairman of the provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee Huỳnh Văn Hải.
The training course aimed to enhance understanding on fundamental teachings, the Charter, and operating regulations of Hoa Hao Buddhism and relating state laws for key members of the Buddhist sect.
According to Head of the Representative Committee of the Buddhist Church in Tien Giang province Võ Văn Thượng, the training course is taking place until July 21. As part of the training course, key contents on policies and guidelines of the Party and State on belief and religion will be presented by representatives of the provincial Committee for Religious Affairs and the provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee.
