Hanoi Caodai Parish under the Correction-Path Caodai Church held on May 20 its 6th general conference for the 2022-2027 tenure in Hanoi city’s Hai Ba Trung district.
At the conference
The event was co-chaired by Archbishop Chairman of the Church’s Standing Committee Ngọc Phụ Thanh and Priest Thượng Mai Thanh, Head of the Management Board of Hanoi Caodai parish.
Guests at the event included Deputy Director of the Caodai Affairs under the Government Committee for Religious Affairs (GCRA) Nguyễn Thị Hương and representatives of the municipal authorities and religious organizations in the city.
The one-day conference reviewed results of the Hanoi Caodai parish in the 5th term and approved working plans in the next tenure.
The event elected an 8-member management board of the Hanoi Caodai parish for the 2022-2027 with Archbishop Thượng Mai Thanh reselected as Head of the board
As reported at the event, during the 2017-2022 term, under the guidance of the Correction-Path Caodai Church, the oratory of the parish have been repaired with the total investment of over one billion VND and members of the parish have contributed over 300 million VND to charity funds launched by the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, including Vaccine Fund and supports sent to disadvantaged Caodai parish in the Central and South regions.
During the conference, Hanoi Caodao Parish donated 10 million VND to “Humanitarian Month 2022” launched by the Red Cross Association in Hai Ba Trung district.
On the occasion, the Correction-Path Caodai Church presented certificates of commendation to the Hanoi Caodai parish for outstanding achievements in the Church’s affairs in 2017-2022 term. The People’s Committee in Hai Ba Trung district awarded certificates of merit to two groups and seven individuals of the Caodai parish for practical contributions in patriotic movements for the 2017-2022 tenure, and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee in Hanoi city presented certificates of merit to two groups and three individuals of the Caodai parish for their outstanding contributions in building the national great unity block.
