District-level Buddhist congresses in Tra Vinh convened

The congresses of Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS) chapters in Tra Vinh province’s Tra Cu and Tieu Can districts for the 2021-2026 tenure were successfully held on December 30, 31.

The events saw the presence of Most Venerable Thích Huệ Pháp, Vice Chairman of the VBS’s Executive Committee in the province, and monks, nuns and lay Buddhists representing Buddhist worshipping places in the two districts of Tra Cu and Tieu Can.

The Buddhist congresses nominated a new 35-member executive board of the VBS chapter in Tra Cu district with Most Venerable Kim Ngọc Toàn chosen as head of the VBS executive board, and a new 21-member executive board of the VBS chapter in Tieu Can district with Senior Venerable Thạch Thưa chosen as head of the VBS executive board.
