The Association of Agent Orange Victims and Social Sponsoring Center in Ba Ria – Vung Tau commune’s Phu My district in collaboration with Hong Quang Humanitarian Center in the district re-opened the Charity Kitchen in the locality at a ceremony held on September 13.
The charity kitchen located in the district Medical Center will be managed by Most Venerable Thích Thiện Thông, Director of the Hong Quang humanitarian center in the locality, with Venerable Thích Nhuận Phước, Vice Chairman of the Agent Orange Victims and Social Sponsoring Association served as the president.
The kitchen will provide free porridge, rice and water to poor patients at the medical center and the homeless from 7-8 am and 10-11 am on every Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
As reported, the charity kitchen was established in 2011 but has been suspended since 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
During the ceremony, the Compassionate Heart under the Hong Quang humanitarian center presented three million VND to the charity kitchen.
