Catholics Solidarity Committee in Dong Thap reviews six-month work

The Committee for Solidarity of Vietnamese Catholics (CSVC) in Dong Thap province has held a meeting for reviewing its performance in the first six months of 2022.

At the reviewing meeting

The event taking place at Cao Lanh church in Cao Lanh city saw the presence of Vice Chairman of the provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee Võ Ngọc Thành, representatives from the provincial Committee for Religious Affairs and 58 priests and other key Catholics in the province.

As reported at the event, in the first half of 2022, Catholic communities in the province have proactively participated in patriotic movements, social charities, and environment protection, practically contributing to socio-economic development in the locality.

The event also selected Priest Nicholas Nguyễn Tấn Hoàng as Vice Chairman of the provincial CSVC, replacing retired Priest Marcel Trần Văn Tốt, and discussed the preparation for the 6th congress of the Catholics for national construction and defense in Dong Thap province scheduled in December.
