The compatriots association of Can Loc deanery under Ha Tinh diocese in South region held on October 9 a gathering of Catholics from Can Loc deanery in South region in Ho Chi Minh city.
The event taking place at the Congregation of the Lady of the Poor located in Thu Duc city saw the presence of Priest John Baptist Nguyễn Khắc Bá, Representative General cum Head of Can Loc Catholic deanery, Priest John Baptist Lưu Ngọc Hùng, Head of Tam Da parish in charge of immigration affairs, and large numbers of priests, clergies and parishioners of Can Loc deanery who are working and studying in South region.
A majority lay Catholics from Can Loc deanery under Ha Tinh diocese in South region are living in Ho Chi Minh city and provinces of Long An, Binh Duong, Dong Nai and Ba Ria – Vung Tau. In addition, many parishioners from provinces of Dak Nong, Dak Lak, Gia Lai and Kon Tum also attended the gathering.
During the event, Priest John Baptist Lưu Ngọc Hùng initiated religious rites and prayers for lay parishioners of Can Loc deanery who are living, working and studying in South region.
