Thanh Hoa province released on April 15 a report on the charity program to support housing construction for people living on river areas in the locality.

Accordingly, the charity program has successfully raised over 70 billion VND from sponsors, locals and religious organizations in the province for supporting 182 families moving from river areas to permanent houses.
Specifically, nearly 19 billion VND for infrastructure investment was contributed by localities having disadvantaged families live on rivers, and more than 52 billion VND for housing construction was raised by the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee in the province, in which Caritas Thanh Hoa has donated a total of 7,084 billion VND.

In addition, the provincial authority has provided vocational training and introduced employment opportunities for people in disadvantaged families after moving from river areas to permanent houses, as well as classified 143 disadvantaged families as poor or near-poor for receiving additional assistance from state funding.
