The Ward 4 Caodai parish under the Tay Ninh Caodai Church in Tien Giang province’s Go Cong provincial city held on July 17 the ground-breaking ceremony for the reconstruction of its Divine Goddess worshipping temple.
The ceremony presided by Priest Thái Sáu Thanh, Head of the management board of the parish saw the presence of Priest Thái Sỹ Thanh, Chairman of the Tay Ninh Caodai Church’s representative committee in Tien Giang province, dignitaries from the management boards of 29 parishes of the Caodai Church in the province and over 200 members of the Caodai parish.
Guests at the event included Chairman of the provincial Party’s Committee for Mass Mobilization Đỗ Tấn Hùng and Vice Chairman of the provincial Committee for Religious Affairs Trần Văn Khuê.
As reported, the oratory and Divine Goddess worshipping temple of the Caodai parish were built in 1947, and have been upgraded and restored many times. In early 2022, the parish’s management board got the approval from local authorities for rebuilding the Divine Goddess worshiping temple on an area of 432 m2.
