The Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS)’s Executive Board in Ha Tinh province’s Ky Anh district in collaboration with the provincial Agricultural & Rural Development Department and Ky Anh district People’s Committee held on March 31 a fish release program.
During the event, over 40,000 fish fingerlings were released to Mac Khe dam in the province’s Ky Anh district.
This is a practical and regular program launched by the district-level VBS executive board in the province on occasion of Fisheries Industry Day (April 1st) and other holidays in order to contribute to protect biodiversity in the locality.
This program also helps raising knowledge and responsibility of local people on the protection of aquatic resources and preventing destructive practices of fishing in the locality.
