The Xa Tac festival is taking place from March 5-6 in Ka Long precinct, Mong Cai city.
The festival aimed to preserve and honor cultural and historical values of the temple.
Early, municipal authorities in Mong Cai organized a seminar to affirm that Xa Tac temple contains historical and cultural values.
Based on the historical texts written in old Chinese and Vietnamese characters preserved at the temple, the temple has been the place to organize the Xa Tac ritual dedicating to the Earth and Agriculture Spirits for the good harvest and prosperity.
The on-going festival features series of traditional activities including water and Spirit processions, Xa Tac ritual, and folk games with the participation of over 200 visitors and locals.
