The People's Committee of Lai Chau province organized, on December 11, 2025, a conference to disseminate state laws to religious dignitaries, deacons, and representatives of religious groups in the province.

During the conference, participants were briefed on the socio-economic situation, national defense and security, and the practical contributions of religious communities in the province to patriotic emulation movements, campaigns, and programs launched by Party committees, government agencies, and the Fatherland Front at all levels in 2025.
At the same time, the conference provided guidance for religious organizations and individuals to conduct their activities in accordance with the Law on Belief and Religion, as well as the Government Decree on decentralization and delegation of authority in the field of ethnic, belief, and religious affairs.
Participants also discussed the practical contributions of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha of Lai Chau province to social welfare; the contributions of the Catholic community in the province to the nationwide movement for solidarity in building new rural areas and civilized urban areas, and implementing the model of solidarity between religious and non-religious people; as well as the role of religious dignitaries, deacons, and lay followers in participating in emulation movements to eliminate outdated customs and practices and build a civilized lifestyle among the people of various groups in the province.

At the conference, the Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tống Thanh Hải praised the outstanding contributions of religious dignitaries, deacons, and lay followers in the province in implementing socio-economic development tasks, ensuring security and order, and contributing to improving the material and spiritual lives of the people of Lai Chau over the last years.
The Standing Vice Chairman expressed his wish that religious communities continue to spread the spirit of compassion, actively participate in social activities related to education, healthcare, charity and humanitarian work, and environmental protection; strengthen coordination with the local authorities to maintain security and order, especially in border areas and ethnic minority regions; and be vigilant against distorted narratives that sow discord and undermine national unity.
He suggested that departments and agencies continue to pay due attention to, and care for, the material and spiritual lives of people of all religions, creating favorable conditions for religions to organize important religious holidays in accordance with the law, ensuring safety and economy.
On the eve of Christmas 2025, the Standing Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Lai Chau Province sent his best wishes to religious leaders, deacons, and parishioners for a Christmas season of "Peace, Happiness, Serenity, and Prosperity".
