The management board of relics in Bac Ninh province held on November 29 a workshop on cultural heritage of the Mother Goddess worship in Bac Ninh and the state administration on the worship in the current situation.

The event drew large numbers of scholars and researchers from the central institutes and agencies and Bac Ninh province.
Speaking at the workshop, Director of the provincial management board of relics Nguyễn Hữu Mạo informed that the Mother Goddess worship has been listed as an intangible cultural heritage of humanity by UNESCO in 2016. Bac Ninh currently has 720 pagodas, temples and shrines having links the Mother Goddess worship, 423 house shrines, and about tens of thousands of people practicing the Mother Goddess worship.
During the event, participating delegates discussed on the history and values of Mother Goddess worship in the province, and the provincial administration on the Mother Goddess worship in current situation.
Bac Ninh province has several Mother Goddess Worship centers with distinctive features such as Mother Goddess of Ly dynasty worship, Tu Phap Mother Goddess worship, and worship of Au Co Mother Goddess, Ba Chua Kho Goddess, and Y Lan Mother Saint, etc.
