Thu Dau Mot city People’s Committee in Binh Duong province held on June 5 a workshop on the administrative procedures in the field of belief and religion for local cadres in the city.
The event saw the participation of representative leaders of the Office of the city People’s Committee, Home Affairs office the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and a large number of cadres tasked with religious affairs from 14 wards in the city.
During the meeting, the provincial committee for religious affairs introduced key contents of the Decision No. 199 of the minister of home affairs on the administrative procedures in the fields of belief and religion. The meeting also covered the competent authorities prescribed in the religious law and key contents of the government decree No.162 on detailing a number of articles and providing measures for the implementation of the Law on Belief and Religion.
In addition, the provincial committee for religious affairs updated information on the current religious life and highlighted key tasks and practical issues in the province to be resolved according to the new religious law.
