The Vietnam Women's Union (VWU) in Ho Chi Minh City’s Tan Binh district held on September 12 a meeting with religious nuns in the district.

Present at the meeting included Vice Chairwoman of the VWU’s Organization and Inspection Board in the city Trương Thị Thu Vân, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front in Tan Binh district Huỳnh Văn Bé, Vice Chairman of the Commission for Mass Mobilization in the district Phạm Trường Hải, and Chairwoman of the VWU in the district Đỗ Thị Ngọc Lan.
During the meeting, Chairwoman Đỗ Thị Ngọc Lan informed religious nuns about the result of the Women's Congress at all levels and outstanding achievements of the VWU in the locality over the past year.
The chairwoman also praised practical contributions made by religious nuns in social welfare and the pandemic prevention and control over the past time, and expressed hope that religious nuns would continue promoting their role in social charities and women’s movements in the locality.
