The Vinh Phuc provincial Security in collaboration with competent agencies held on August 17 a meeting with key followers of religions in the province on occasion of the all-people national security protection Day (August 19).
During the event, ten religious followers were presented with certificates of merit by the Public Secuirity Ministry at the event for their practical contributions to the movement “All people engage in national security protection”.
Speaking at the meeting, while highly appreciating religious contributions to socio-economic development in the locality over the past year, Chairman of the provincial People’s Council Trần Văn Vinh called for continuous contributions by followers of religions to the maintenance of public security and order in the province.
Currently, the Northern province of Vinh Phuc is home to large numbers of Buddhists, Catholics and Protestants.
