A delegation from Vinh Long provincial authorities led by Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party’s Committee on May 22 visited the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS)’s Executive Committee in the province on occasion of the Buddha’s Birthday 2018 (B.E. 2562).
Most Venerable Chairman of the provincial VBS’s Executive Committee Thích Như Tước welcomed the delegation.
During the visiting reception, Deputy Secretary Trương Văn Sáu extended best wishes to Buddhist dignitaries and followers in the province ahead of the important Buddhist festival. He also called on Buddhist dignitaries and followers to closely stay attached and accompany with the nation and join with local authorities in movements for the socio-economic development in the locality.
Most Venerable Thích Như Tước took the chance to thank local authorities for their due attention extended to Buddhist practices in the locality.
