Vietnam Fatherland Front calls on religious organizations to continue promoting creative and effective measures for Covid-19 prevention

The Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Central Committee has issued a dispatch to political and social organizations at the central level, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees of provinces and cities, and leaders of religious organizations asking for further efforts and contributions to the Covid-19 prevention and control work.  

In the dispatch No 2734/MTTW-BTT the VFF central committee has highly appreciated proactive and effective efforts and contributions made by religious organizations for the Covid-19 prevention control work over the past time, with hundreds of religious volunteers having joint the frontline medical force, religious worshipping places having offered its space and facilities used as concentrated isolation centers, operated charity kitchens for daily cooking thousands of meals sent to the medical force, Covid-19 patients, and disadvantaged people severely affected by the epidemic, etc.

In the current context of complicated epidemic developments, the VFF Central Committee asked for a close coordination between VFF committees and religious organizations in provinces and cities in strictly implementing directions of the Government, guidance of authorities at all levels and recommendations of the health sector on the prevention and control of the Covid-19 epidemic.

The VFF Central Committee also called on religious organizations to make creative efforts and practical contributions for the epidemic prevention, and encourage religious dignitaries and lay followers to make online medical declaration and register for Covid-19 vaccination.
