Vietnam Coast Guard holds exchange meeting with ethnic – religious people

The Staff Department under the Vietnam Coast Guard in collaboration with with local authorities of Tien Xuan commune of Hanoi municipal’s Thach That district held on November 24 an exchange meeting with local ethnic and religious people.  

Attending the event included representatives from the staff department and political bureau under the Vietnam Coast Guard and the district’s authorities, teachers and pupils of Tien Xuan primary and secondary schools, and large number of local people.

The meeting covered exchanges on issues of Vietnam’s seas and islands, historical development, missions and achievements of the Vietnam Coast Guard, as well as the Party and the State’ policies in the protection of Vietnam’s sovereignty over its seas and islands.

During the event, the staff department under the Vietnam Coast Guard also presented gifts valued at over 62 million VND to local families with meritorious services to the country and disadvantaged pupils of Tien Xuan primary and secondary schools.

As reported, 70% of the population in Tien Xuan commune currently is Muong ethnic people with disadvantaged living conditions.
