Vietnam announces nine more national intangible cultural heritages

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has issued a decision to add nine more national intangible cultural heritages.

The newly recognized heritage are Ky Yen Festival in Binh Duong province, Nguyen Trung Truc Temple Festival in Kien Giang province, Festivals in Da Hoa and Da Trach Temples in Hung Yen province, Mo Muong (a job and also a performance practiced at funerals, religious festivals, and life cycle rituals by the Muong ethnic group) in Hanoi, Peace Singing Festival in Nam Dinh province, Life Cycle Ritual by the Cham Islam community in An Giang province, Du Khe musical theater by Khmer people in An Giang province, and the new rice offering rite of Raglai people in Ninh Thuan province.

The ministry has assigned local authorities at all levels in the localities where the intangible cultural heritage are located to be responsible for the management of the heritage within the scope of their duties and in accordance with the law.
