Vice President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Central Committee Nguyễn Hữu Dũng visited and met with Most Venerable Vice President of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS) Central Executive Council Thích Gia Quang in Lien Phai Pagoda, Hanoi on May 23.
Vice President Nguyễn Hữu Dũng sent his best wishes to Most Venerable Thích Gia Quang as well as all Vietnamese Buddhist dignitaries and followers both at home and overseas on the 2562nd Birthday of the Buddha.
He spoke highly of the VBS for promoting social unity and actively taking part in many patriotic movements, social charities and environmental.
Most Venerable Thích Gia Quang thanked the VFF Central Committee’s gesture and affirmed that the VBS together with Buddhist monks, nuns and followers will continue promoting the good traditions of the sangha and participating in movements and programs launched by the VFF for sustainable development in the country.
