President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Committee Trần Thanh Mẫn led a delegation to visit the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS) Executive Committee in Kon Tum province on May 11 on occasion of the Buddha Birthday (B.E. 2563).
Vice President of the VBS Executive Council cum Chairman of the VBS Executive Committee in the province Most Venerable Thích Quảng Xả, Buddhist dignitaries of the VBS Executive Committee in the province welcomed the delegation.
While extending the Vesak congratulation to Most Venerable Thích Quảng Xả, Buddhist dignitaries and followers in the province, President Trần Thanh Mẫn lauded contributions made by the provincial VBS Executive Committee to the local development over recent years. He also expressed hope that the VBS Chapter would encourage followers to proactively join in local movements for the socio-economic development in the locality.
