VFF leader extends New Year visits to Catholics in Ho Chi Minh

A delegation led by Vice President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee (VFF) Ngô Sách Thực paid on January 20 visits to Ho Chi Minh city archdiocese and the commission on charity and social action (Vietnam Caritas), ahead of Lunar New Year 2019.

Bishop Apostolic Administrator of Ho Chi Minh city archdiocese Joseph Đỗ Mạnh Hùng and Priest General Secretary of the Vietnam Caritas Vicente Vũ Ngọc Đồng welcomed the delegation.

During the visits, Vice President Ngô Sách Thực informed results of the VFF in 2018 and highly appreciated the active response from Ho Chi Minh city archdiocese and local Catholics to social movements launched by the VFF.

The Vice President also extended a Lunar New Year of happiness and success to Catholic followers in Ho Chi Minh city and expressed hope that local Catholics would always observe state laws and actively join social campaigns launched by the VFF.

Bishop Joseph Đỗ Mạnh Hùng and Priest Vicente Vũ Ngọc Đồng thanked the VFF for its attention and support over the past year, and highlighted the role of the VFF in promoting ethnic and religion unity in the country.
