Vice President, General Secretary of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Central Committee Hầu A Lềnh on April 11 led a delegation to visit Soc Lon pagoda in Binh Phuoc province’s Loc Ninh district on the occasion of Chol Chnam Thmay (traditional New Year) festival.

During the visit, Vice President Hầu A Lềnh extended his best wishes to Khmer Buddhist dignitaries and followers on occasion of their traditional New Year festival and called on Khmer people to promote fine traditions of Khmer people for the socio-economic development in the province.
On this occasion, Vice President Hầu A Lềnh presented gift sets to monks in Soc Lon pagoda and Khmer households in the locality.
In the six provinces and cities of the Southeast region, Binh Phuoc has the largest number of Khmer residents whom concentrate mainly in the districts of Loc Ninh, Binh Long and Chon Thanh.
