The Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Committee in Lam Dong province in collaboration with concerning provincial agencies and district authorities held on August 28 an exchange meeting with local religious dignitaries for exchanges on religious practices and state law on religion in the locality.
Present at the event included Vice Chairman of the provincial VFF Đường Anh Ngữ, Vice Chairman of the Commission for Mass Mobilization in Lam Dong Huỳnh Mỹ, representatives of the provincial Committee for Religious Affairs and district-level VFF boards, and 40 dignitaries from religious organizations of Buddhism, Catholicism, Protestantism and Caodaism in the province.
During the meeting, the provincial VFF informed socio-economic development in the province in the first eight months and implementing results of the coordination program between the VFF and religious organization.
The meeting also provided exchanges and discussions on religion-related land, the registration for activities of religious groups, and social activities of religious organizations in the fields of education, health and charities, etc.
