The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee (VFF) in Gia Lai province held on June 22 a meeting for reviewing the patriotic emulation movements implemented in the local Catholic community for the 2017-2022 period.

Attending the event included Chairman of the provincial VFF Hồ Văn Điềm, Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Council Ayun H'Bút, Vice Chairwoman of the provincial People’s Committee Nguyễn Thị Thanh Lịch, representatives from local authorities and religious organizations of Buddhism, Caodaism and Baha’i faith, and about 150 outstanding Catholics in the province.
As reported at the meeting, under the guidance and supports of the provincial VFF and socio-political organization in the province, local Catholics have proactively joined patriotic emulation movements, and social and charitable programs launched in the province.
On occasion, the provincial People’s Committee and the provincial VFF presented certificates of recommendation to 75 local Catholic individuals for their outstanding achievements in the patriotic emulation movement in the 2017-2022 period.
