Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee (VFF) in Dong Nai province Vũ Đình Trung led a delegation on June 30 visiting and meeting with key members of Hoa Hao Buddhism in the province’s Dinh Quan district on occasion of the 81st founding anniversary of Hoa Hao Buddhism.
At the visiting reception, Vice Chairman Vũ Đình Trung praised local Hoa Hao Buddhist leaders and members for their practical contributions to socio-economic development in the province over the past years. He also expressed hope that the local leaders of the Buddhist church would further encourage Hoa Hao Buddhists to proactively take part in social programs and movements launched by local authorities.
On the occasion, the provincial VFF also presented supports for the organization of the founding anniversary ceremony.
According to the executive board of Hoa Hao Buddhist in communes of Dinh Quan district, during the Covid-19 pandemic, they have strictly implemented prevention measures against the epidemic and presented 66,000 free meals valued at over one billion VND to poor patients and people affected by the pandemic.
