Vice Chairwoman of Ca Mau provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee (VFF) Dương Thu Hiền led a delegation checking the implementation of the Law on Belief and Religion 2016 in Ca Mau city and Thoi Binh district from September 29-30.
During the working trip, the supervision delegation had meetings with concerning authorities of Thoi Binh district’s Tan Loc commune and Hoa Thanh commune of Ca Mau city.
As reported, local authorities have disseminated the Law on Belief and Religion 2016 to officials and cadres tasked with the state administration on belief and religion. Local religious dignitaries and followers have well observed the new religious law, contributing to the socio-economic development in the province.
Besides, representatives of concerning authorities recommended the promulgation of legal documents prescribing administrative sanctions for violations on belief and religion, the establishment of folk belief worshipping places and the employment of one additional cadre for the state administration on religion at the commune level and the enhancement of training on the implementation of the law on belief and religion for cadres in the locality.
During the working visits, Vice Chairwoman Dương Thu Hiền acknowledged practical results made by concerning local authorities and pledged to closely collaborate with concerning authorities for addressing practical religious issues in the province.
