The meeting taking place in Ho Chi Minh city aimed to gather religious dignitaries’ comments on social, economic, ethnic and religious issues. 

During the meeting, representatives of religious organizations of Buddhism, Catholicism, Protestantism, etc gave comments to practical social issues in the region such as the current usage of toxic agents in agricultural products, robbery crimes, reconstruction of religious worshipping places, granting of land-use certificates for religious organizations. Religious participants also commented on roles of the Vietnam fatherland committee in addressing these issues.
