VFF holds climate change training for key religious in Khanh Hoa, Dak Lak, Phu Yen

Over 100 religious dignitaries, deacons and clerics from central provinces of Dac Lak, Phu Yen and Khanh Hoa have attended a training conference on climate change adaptation held on October 20-21.  

The training taking place in Nha Trang city of Khanh Hoa was held by the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Central Committee in collaboration with the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment.

The two-day conference covered updated general information on climate change; strategies, policies and action plans for climate change response in Vietnam; the coordinate program for promoting religious engagement in climate change adaption.

The training also provided exchanges of practical experiences and discussion of action plans for environment protection and climate change response launched by religious places in the three provinces in order to help local religious leaders more efficiently engage in the work for climate change response, environmental protection and reduction of risks in natural calamities.
