VFF central committee organizes religious field-trip to Nam Dinh

A delegation of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Central Committee led by Vice President Ngô Sách Thực visited Nam Dinh Province on July 7 for learning about the religious life and the implementation of policies on religion in the locality.  

During the visit, the VFF delegation had a meeting with representatives of the provincial government and social organizations in Nam Dinh for exchanges aimed to enhance the efficiency of the religious affairs and improve the material and spiritual life of religious people in the province.

Speaking at the meeting, Vice President Ngô Sách Thực spoke highly of results of religious affairs in Nam Dinh, especially religious unity and social engagement in the locality, and took note of comments related to the state administration on religion for later reporting to concerning central authorities. 

According to the provincial report, Nam Dinh is currently home to over 47,000 Catholics, over 30,000 Buddhists and about 800 Protestants with over 800 Buddhist temples, 662 Catholic churches and two Protestant churches.
