The Institute of Relics Conservation under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has released second volumes of the two books on typical temples and pagodas in Vietnam, following the success of the first volumes.
The two books contain first announced results of researches conducted over the past several decades by the Institute of Relics Conservation and include drawings, photographs and research articles on typical relics in Vietnam North.
The books also covers in-depth articles on the history, architecture and sculpture of the relics with different views, updated information based on researches and discoveries in recent field trips.
The 220-page book "Architecture of Vietnam Pagoda through Documents of the Institute of Relics Conservation - Second Volume” offers architecture, decorative sculpture and special values in history of ten most typical pagodas built from the Tran dynasty to the Nguyen dynasty.
The 224-page book "Architecture of Vietnam Communal Houses through Documents of the Institute of Relics Conservation - Second Volume” showcases twelve typical communal houses featuring historical and architectural values from the late 16th century.
