Training on human rights held in Ba Ria - Vung Tau

The Steering Board on Human Rights in Ba Ria - Vung Tau province in collaboration with the office of the Government’s Human Rights Steering Committee held on September 28 a training conference on human rights affairs for key personnel tasked with human rights affairs in the province.

During the conference, speakers from the Legal Department under the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, the Government Committee for Religious Affairs, and the Government's Standing Office on Human Rights presented topics on labor rights of Vietnam according to international conventions and treaties and rights of freedom of belief and religion.

The event updated information on human rights, the Party and the State’s guidelines and policies on labor rights, freedom of belief and religion, and responsibilities of Vietnam in implementing international commitments and treaties, as well as activities taking advantages of abusing democracy, human rights, ethnicity and religion.

Through the conference, local officials tasked with human rights affairs would implement concrete measures for better protecting and promoting human rights, as well as preventing acts abusing democracy and human rights.
