About 700 Buddhist monks and nuns from Vietnam Buddhist Institute in Ho Chi Minh city attended on June 13 a training session on climate change and adaption skills.
The event was held by the Department of Climate Change under the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment in collaboration with the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee, the city religious committee and the Vietnam Buddhist Institute in Ho Chi Minh city.
The training aimed to provide information about climate change in Vietnam, the policies and programs related to climate change in the country, roles of religions in environmental protection and climate change adaptation, as well as measures and skills for climate change adaption and disaster risk management.
