The Standing Office of the Government’s Steering Committee for Human Rights in collaboration with Bac Lieu authorities held on December 29 a training conference on human rights affairs for the region of southern provinces and cities.
The event saw the presence of reporters from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Information and Communications, the Government Committee for Religious Affairs and the Ethnic Minorities Committee, and heads of the police force of 20 provinces, cities in South region and some provinces of the North and Central Highlands region.
During the event, the conference participants learnt about the current human rights affairs and updated information the State and Party's policies on human rights; the State management on new religious phenomena in the current period, commitments of Vietnam in the Comprehensive and Progressive Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP) and the Free Trade Agreement between Europe Union and Vietnam (EVFTA), etc.
