Tien Luc festival in Bac Giang recognized as national intangible cultural heritage

The People’s Committee of Tien Luc commune in Bac Giang province’s Lang Giang district held on May 8 Tien Luc Festival and received the certificate of recognition of the festival as a national intangible cultural heritage.

Tien Luc authorities receive certificate of recognition of Tien Luc Festival as national intangible cultural heritage

Tien Luc relic site consists of worshipping facilities built during the 17th – 18th centuries with a grandiose architectural scale and artistic carvings.

Tien Luc relic site has been classified as a national art-architecture relic since 1989 by the Ministry of Culture and Information.

The Tien Luc festival is held annually from the 18th to the 20th of the third lunar month in Tien Luc relic site (comprising of Phuc Quang Pagoda, Tien Luc Temple, Thuan Hoa and Vien Son Communal Houses, a Da Huong tree and a Lam well).

This year, the festival featured traditional rituals and folk games including tug of war, cock fighting, etc attracting flocks of local residents and visitors.
