Thanh Hoa Province offers free entry to Citadel of the Hồ Dynasty on Vietnam Cultural Heritage Day

On 19th November, on the 17th of Vietnam Cultural Heritage Day (23rd Nov 2005 - 23rd Nov 2022) and the 50th anniversary of the implementation of the UNESCO Convention for the Protection of World Cultural and Natural Heritage, Heritage Conservation Center for Citadel of the Hồ Dynasty (Thanh Hoa) offered free entry for visitors to the relic on 23rd November.

Heritage Conservation Center for Citadel of the Hồ Dynasty and other relevant departments organised activities: The Opening of the Exhibition of 50 years of implementation of the Heritage Convention with the theme "Cultural Heritage of Thanh Hoa - Our Common Heritage", Conference summarising the World Heritage Club in Vietnam.

Activities took place to strengthen the promotion of image of Citadel of the Hồ Dynasty and introduce the relic widely to domestic and international friends; at the same time, raising awareness and responsibility of the society in preserving cultural heritage and developing sustainable tourism; increasing attractiveness of World Cultural Heritage Hồ Dynasty Citadel, attracting tourists to visit the heritage in the coming time.

In 2022, with the policy of opening up to international tourism, by mid-November, the World Cultural Heritage of Citadel of the Hồ Dynasty welcomed 179,000 domestic and foreign visitors, reaching 132.6% of the plan and increasing nearly 5 times compared to the same period in 2021.
