Thai Binh provincial Party Commission for Mass Mobilization held on December 10 a meeting to honor religious members of the Communist Party in the province.
The event saw the participation of Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Nguyễn Tiến Thành, Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Council Đàm Văn Vượng and Head of the Party Commission Đặng Thanh Giang.
As reported at the meeting, Thai Binh currently has three recognized religions of Buddhism, Protestantism and Catholicism with over 28,000 followers, accounting for 16% the provincial population. Local religious followers have proactively joint movements launched by local authorities for the socio-economic development in the locality.
In the 2015-2020 term, Thai Binh province has 162 Party members who are religious followers and have been as elected local state officials.
Speaking at the event, Deputy Secretary Nguyễn Tiến Thành spoke highly of practical contributions made by Party members who are religious followers for the socio-economic development in the province.

During the event, the provincial Commission for Mass Mobilization presented certificates of commendation to 14 religious Party members for their outstanding contributions in advocacy work over the past year.
