Southwest Steering Committee delegation extends congratulations to Islamic Cham people in Tien Giang on Roya Haji festival

A delegation from the Southwest Steering Committee paid on September 1 a visit to the Muslim Mosque located in Trinh Hoai Duc street in Tien Giang province’s My Tho city on occasion of Roya Haji festival 2017 of Islamic Cham people.
The delegation was led by Vice Chairman of the Southwest Steering Committee Trần Minh Thống, and joint by representatives of Tien Giang provincial Party Committee’s Commission for Mass Mobilization, the provincial Committee for Religious Affairs and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee.
During the visiting reception, while extending greetings to the Islamic Cham community on occasion of Roya Haji festival, Vice Chairman Trần Minh Thống encouraged locals of Cham Muslims to make further contributions to socio-economic development in Tien Giang province in particular and the southwest region in general.
During the visit, the delegation presented 10 gift boxes to ethnic Cham Muslims and poor locals in My Tho provincial city.
