Six-month work on human rights in Thai Binh reviewed

Thai Binh provincial authorities held a meeting on July 4 for reviewing affairs related to religion and human rights in the first six months 2018 and mapping out working plans for the second half of the year.

Attending the meeting included Chairman of the provincial People’s Council cum Chairman of the two steering committees on belief & religion and human rights Đặng Trọng Thăng, members of the committees, and representatives from district-level concerning offices.

Regarding religious affairs, the meeting highlighted results of the implementation of state policies and laws for respecting and safeguarding freedom of religion of people in the locality in the first half of the year.

Addressing the event, Chairman of the provincial People’s Council Đặng Trọng Thăng also stressed the need for dissemination of the belief and religion law to all followers of religions and officials tasked with religions affairs in the locality in latter months of the year, so as to ensure religious practices in the province conducted in accordance with the new law on religion and its guiding decree.
