The Union of Science and Technology Associations in Ninh Binh province held on Jun 22 a seminar for gathering comments on a project on preservation and promotion of values of the Mother Goddesses Worship.
Attending the seminar included Prof, Dr. Đỗ Văn Dung, Chairman of the provincial association, representatives of concerning provincial departments and agencies, heads of the district-level cultural office and members of the advisory and critical council of the project.
During the seminar, members of the advisory and critical council discussed the necessity, targets, contents and the structure of the project for preserving and promoting values of the Mother Goddesses Worship the 2019-2025 period.
As reported, the project will be implemented in 3 phases for evaluation of the values of the Mother Goddesses Worship, organization of conservation trainings, building the Mother Goddesses Worship’s database, reviewing results of the project’s implementation and proposing implementation tasks for the future period. Estimated budget for the project implemented by the provincial department of culture, sports and tourism is nearly 900 million VND.
The comments of the seminar will be gatherd by the provincial union of science and technology associations before submitting to the provincial People's Committee for approval.
The worshipping of the Mother Goddesses of Three Realms was recognized as the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO in 2017, and Ninh Binh province is home to 415 historical and cultural relics relating to the worship of Mother Goddesses, mainly distributed in Nho Quan, Yen Mo, Kim Son and Yen Khanh districts.
