Secretary of Binh Duong provincial Party’s Committee visits quarantine and treatment center for Covid-19 patients based at Hoi Khanh pagoda

A delegation of Binh Duong provincial Party’s Committee led by Secretary Nguyễn Văn Lợi paid a visit to the quarantine and treatment center for Covid-19 patients based at Hoi Khanh pagoda located in the province’s Thu Dau Mot City.

The delegation was welcomed by Thu Dau Mot municipal Party’s Committee Nguyễn Văn Đông, Chairwoman of the municipal People’s Committee Nguyễn Thu Cúc, and Most Venerable Thích Huệ Thông, Chairman of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS)’s Executive Committee in the province cum Abbot of the pagoda.

During the visit, Secretary Nguyễn Văn Lợi highly appreciated the isolation and on-site treatment model for asymptomatic and mildly symptomatic Covid-19 patients set up at Hoi Khanh pagoda, and asked the provincial health department to study and replicate this model in the province so that Covid-109 patients could be promptly treated at nearest centers with adequate medical facilities and equipment.

He also emphasized that this would also be a mobile medical station model suiting changing strategies of the Covid-19 prevention in the province.

Secretary of Binh Duong provincial Party’s Committee also expressed respect and thanks to the VBS chapter in the province and Most Venerable Thích Huệ Thông for guiding monks, nuns and lay Buddhists to practically contribute to the charity work, joining hands with local authorities for taking care of local people over the past time.

On this occasion, the delegation presented gift sets to the medical force and volunteers serving at the isolation and treatment center for Covid-19 patients based at the pagoda.
