The Committee for Religious Affairs in Thanh Hoa province in collaboration with the province’s Tinh Gia district authorities held on May 29 a conference on the dissemination of the new belief and religious laws.
Nearly 200 participants who are district and commune-level officials tasked with religious affairs in Tinh Gia district attended the event.
The events covered key contents of the Law on Belief and Religion 2016 and its guiding Decree 162, with focuses on rights and obligations of religious individuals and organizations.
In addition, the provincial religious committee also interpreted and explained practical issues relating the administration on religious practices in the district.
Tinh Gia district has currently a large number of Catholic followers, accounting for 25% the district population.
