A delegation of the Committee for Religious Affairs in Tien Giang province visited on January 31 the provincial Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS)’s executive committee and sub-committee for nun affairs ahead of Lunar New Year 2018.
The delegation led by Chairwoman of the provincial religious committee Bùi Thị Mai was welcomed by Most Venerable Chairman of the provincial VBS’s Executive Committee Thích Huệ Minh and Superior Nun Head of the VBS Sub-committee for Nun Affairs Thích nữ Tịnh Nghiêm.
During the visit meetings, while extending traditional New Year greetings to members of the provincial Buddhist executive committee and the sub-committee for nun affairs, and all local monks, nuns and Buddhists, Chairwoman Bùi Thị Mai praised contributions of the Buddhist community in the province to the social development of the locality over the past years.
